Geocache Description:

Take a brief moment to see the invisible.

This monument has existed in Madison County since 1913 yet many of us have passed by without noticing. Please take a moment to reflect on the history of our great country while searching for this cache. We have passed by this monument thousands of times yet didn't notice it until now. We felt that we should share this with you by placing a small cache so that you may see the invisible as well.

The plate on the monument reads:
In Commemoration of
The Moravian Missions
To the Indians
Maintained on White River
South of This Spot 1801-1806
Erected by
Kikthawenund Chapter
Daughters of the American Revolution
1913


NOTE: Please be gentle and be careful to not over-tighten the container lid as it becomes very tough for the next cacher to open. The container is naturally water-proof and only needs to be just finger tight. Please re-open to test that you haven't torqued it too tight. Thank you!

P.S. THE BOTTOM OF THE CONTAINER IS THE LID. DO NOT TRY TO OPEN THE TOP, IT IS GLUED SHUT.
