Fish Eagle: It's time to put this listing to bed. It used to be a lovely location a few years ago, but it's degraded and no longer suitable for a cache. The "Kortpad" remains an interesting feature so we might create a new cache in a different location next time we're down that way...

Geocache Description:

The cache is hidden alongside the Komati River about 25kms south of Komatipoort.

The "Komati Kortpad" is a most unique piece of road, being the only private toll road that we know of.

The "Kortpad" is 4kms long, tarred, in super condition, has proper road markings and signs, a humungous bridge over the Komati River, and a dinkum toll booth. It does not feature on Garmap, and you will probably have a seriously confused Gps around here if you use autorouting.

You can approach the cache either from the northeast (Komatipoort), or from the northwest (Hectorspruit/Malelane) - the "Kortpad" is the link between the two approaches. Either way you will need to pay the toll of R8 to get to the cache.
