Geocache Description:

Hi Di Hi Campers….
It’s time to dust off the tent…
Air the sleeping bag…
Get your camping heads on…

Ok folks, clear your diaries for 18th – 20th May, pack the car, load the GPS and Tom Tom, and get yourself to Cheshire for a weekend of fun, and some fabulous caching!

Elm Cottage Caravan Park is situated close to Northwich and Winsford near a lovely village called Little Budworth. For those not in the know – this is a cache rich area, with a great variety of caches nearby.

Elm Cottage Caravan Park

The site itself is just off the A54, which is easily accessible from Chester in the West, and from the M6 in the East.

We are booked onto the Rally Field of the campsite, which means our fees have been greatly reduced to only £6.00 per night per tent, and an additional £2.25 per night if you need electric hook up.

Looks like the HUUUGE numbers of peole coming has reduced the Barn Hire to only £1 per person for the weekend - it's just not worth NOT having it!! I'll collect donations for this at the event itself!

The actual event will now be on the SATURDAY evening - a BBQ / fun / games etc with a mini treasure hunt for the kids and chance to swap stories and TB's with those attending as day(evening!) guests.
It's been suggested we kick off the BBQ at about 6pm, to give those that are caching a chance to get back.
I will bring some meat / buns / etc, but all donations of food willbe appreciated - likewise barbequeues!
The Golem will be there with his super duper BBQ skills that he showed off at Lancs camping event last year - but if not, I'll be looking for volunteer chefs too!

It's been agreed with the campsite owners that I will manage the bookings and the taking of camping fees. This is what has reduced our fees to £6.00 a night as opposed to a tenner.

I'm quite happy to take advance payments for fees if you would like to - I can do this by cheque or paypal, just let me know and I'll arrange it, otherwise it'll be cash (or is that cache!) on arrival! If you want to pay by paypal before you go... then PLEASE let me have your email address... I am NOT a mindreader (although I'd love to be!)

All the hookups are now taken, however... I may have ONE free, but might not know until nearer the date.

***********BBQ on Saturday Evening***********

Everyone is welcome to come to the BBQ on the saturday evening - and donations of food / BBQ's / help with cooking will be appreciated.
There will be games etc for the kids (and adults!!!)

DAY TRIPPERS

Please pull your cars onto the Rally Field (where we will be camping) but leave them in the marked bays.... PLEASE DO NOT park in the reception area of the campsite unles it is VERY wet, as this clogs up the little car park!

*************ADDED NOTE*************

PLEASE NOTE

There is no need to book in with reception either before you come, or on arrival... Just pull onto the Rally Field (there will be arrows pointing the way!!) and come and find me!!

Most of all... lets all enjoy ourselves!
