Welcome to Rutherford County, North Carolina, in the Foothills of the NC Mountains, where you can experience small town charm (Chimney Rock, Lake Lure, Forest City, Spindale and Rutherfordton), play where the movies are made (Dirty Dancing, Last of the Mohicans, Firestarter, My Fellow Americans and A Breed Apart), and surround yourself in beauty (outdoor adventures, boating & fishing, bicycling, hiking, golfing and arts). This cache is set up to be a hotel/way station for Travel Bugs and Geocoins who are hitchhiking their way to specified or unknown places. Please try to trade evenly or up. Travel Bugs and Geocoins which I uncover in my own geocaching trips, plus the ones that I personally activate, will be added to this cache periodically.
There is plenty of parking available. If you arrive during business hours, go inside and talk with the friendly staff about things to do in Rutherford County. At various times, muggle activity will be heavy. Although the cache is not out in the open, watch out for muggles anyway.
Permission has been received for hiding this cache. Please be careful not to damage plants and shrubbery. Replace cache so as to keep from being accidentally discovered by muggles. I hope you enjoy this quick and easy cache.
