Geocache Description:

A scenic drive along the Whaanga Coast Road which is a regular feature of the World Rally circuit and a favourite stage for many drivers. It is a well graded, 2WD suitable, gravel road from Whale Bay.

The cache is a 2 litre camo painted Sistema container located less than 10 minutes walk from the nearby carpark along the 200 meter high cliff tops on the edge of Te Toto gorge. On a good day you can see Mt Taranaki from here.

It is an easy walk but the grassy track does take you fairly close to the edge of the unfenced cliffs so you will need to exercise extreme care if you choose to bring young children along. The cache is hidden well away from the cliff.

Note that there is a "sister" cache close by "Lost World - In Search of the Pinnacle" (GC10FWB) that is accessible from this same Te Toto Gorge carpark. Look down!
