Camel 1B is any easy side-trip if you are traveling between Dubai and Abu Dhabi -- it's near the new Palm Island
Camel 1B aka "Son of Camel 1".
Camel 1 got bulldozed under and its son is about two miles away. Camel 1B is a much nicer spot and has a good beach picnic area close by.
You can do Camel 1B in a car although the road is quite bumpy. The biggest challenge is to get around all the construction!
It is the general area called "Saih Ash Sheib" -- or, at least, that is the nearest developed place I could identify. You get a good view of one of the big Palm Islands and you can play on the beach.
Camel 1B approximately 50km from Deira, Dubai and about half that from the Jebil Ali Free Trade Zone.
When you are driving from Dubai, you can:
* exit E11 at N24°54.487, E054°57.131
* leave the road at N24°54.362, E054°56.800
* park at N24°55.722, E054°55.309 wich is only about 250 feet from the cache.
If you are coming from Abu Dhabi, take the big round-about exit before these coordinates. (Sorry, I didn't get a reading for that interchange.)
The cache is a screw-top plastic clear cannister and contains a log and a pen.
FURTHER NOTE: The high difficult rating is because it is hard to drive to. The actual terrain is not at all difficult once you get to it.
