A micro cache located on the Ceredigion Coastal Path between Aberystwyth and Clarach.DO NOT SEARCH DOWN THE CLIFF SIDES, ITS NOT THERE
This section of the Ceredigion Coast Path starts either from Clarach Bay or the top of Constitution Hill in Aberystwyth. There is no particularly good place to park in Aberystwyth, but you can take the funicular railway to the summit.
The route from Aberystwyth is a narrow track along the cliff top starting from the lower path near the old cafe building. There are some steep sided sections so care should be taken with children and dogs. There is the occasional muddy patch after heavy rain but nothing too serious.
Parking is probably easier from the Clarach Bay end. There are many steep steps to climb from this direction. The track is rough but usually quite easily passable.
You are looking for a 35mm film canister which contains a log book and small pencil.
Other caches in the vicinity are: Rainbow Series Orange, Allt Glais and Barking up the Wrong Tree; all four can be done as a nice circular walk from either direction. There are benches along the way so you can sit and admire the fantastic views. If you are lucky you might see dolphins porpoise, seals or peregrines.
Please note that to access Allt Glais from Barking up the Wrong Tree (and vice versa) you need to be able to climb up steep steps and over a stile at the top. Sheep are grazing on this part of the walk so please keep dogs on a lead.
Cafe, Games Room, toilet facilities, camera obscura, giftshop, frisbee golf and bouncy castle (weather permitting) are available at the summit of Constitution Hill. This area is accessible to buggies and wheelchairs via the funicular railway.
NB: THIS CACHE WAS REPLACED ON 10 AUGUST 2009. Co-ords are the same but container has changed. Still a wicked, evil micro though :D
