Geocache Description:

The cache is a camo'd lock & lock container placed on the University of Waterloo's North Campus.

Update November 2011: Cache is now a camo'd match stick container.

The Love Cache is a little old place where we can get together; you should really be humming the B52s as you find this cache, it improves the experience immensely. My girlfriend and I hid this cache to "celebrate" our 1-year anniversary, although as she points out very ably, the fact that I considered this a romantic outing casts the existence of a two-year anniversary into some doubt. My romantic failings notwithstanding, we have created a love-themed cache containing at the time of its hiding:

- A love picture frame
- A heart key chain
- king and queen fridge magnets
- a blinking lips pin
- quite a few disney fairy tale type stickers
- a cool hand-sized table hockey game (this was my lone contribution)
- a Mickey and Minnie Mouse log book and pencils
- a geocoin
and last but not least,
- some tic-tacs

I hope that the cheesey-romance-ometer explodes when you find this cache, because we're pretty seriously lame (but fun!). Bonus points for riding up to it on a white horse wearing some shining armour carrying a thousand roses, but this is not necessary to log the cache. We even tried to find a romantic spot in Waterloo to hide it! Easier said than done, of course, but happy hunting nonetheless. There's some muggle risk at this cache, so wear your sneaky hat.

***Update Regarding Ill-Repair - Nov/09***
Hello Everyone,

First of all, sorry for the confusion and delay in my response. You are all essentially right: I have "abandoned" the cache, but not the love for which it stands; the one-year-anniversary-celebrating girlfriend for whom the cache is named is now my wife of three months! So there's that, at least.

More to the point, I have moved to Boston to pursue some additional education (and the geocaching emails go to my hotmail... which is pretty much obsolete and I don't check more than once a month). I'm very sorry to hear that the cache has become badly damaged enough to distract from everyone's experience traipsing around North Campus in the spirit of romance.

As a couple of the kind folks who have posted to point out the declining state of The Love Cache have noted, it's a great place for a cache that I picked because it was in a large cache-less hole on the map, and a nice place for a stroll. It would be a shame to lose the place for the benefit of lunch time rookies and cachin' kids, so I would be more than happy to have the cache adopted by someone who lives in KW, provided they would be so kind as to retain its romantic tradition.

If you're interested in being that special someone for this special cache, please send me a message to arrange the particulars!

Cheers,

Neil
