Just north of Lake Berryessa there are 12,575 acres of new public land to be explored. This trail will follow the Zim Zim Creek all the way to cache. To find the cache you must cross the Zim Zim Creek 6 times. About a 1/4 of a mile from the trailhead is the first crossing. If you can make it here the other crossings will be about the same. The day I made the hike it was freezing. In fact, the creek had ice in many places. The trail is an old road following the Zim Zim Creek. It's pretty much flat except for the last couple hundred feet. Here you'll have to hike up a small hill. I don't know what weeds will spring up when it warms up so you may want to wear long pants. You made it this far. The trail continues to the Zim Zim Falls. Why not go on to the Zim Zim Falls?
