The Hugh H. MacKay Project is a conservation project undertaken for the perpetuation of the North American Waterfowl Resource, and found on the Red Head Road in Saint John.
The conservation project, completed in 1984 by Ducks Unlimited Canada with the co-operation of the Province of New Brunswick and local landowners honours Yip MacKay, a dedicated sportsman and conservationist of Rothesay, New Brunswick. Yip was President of Ducks Unlimited Canada, 1977-1978.
Park at N 45.15.545, W 066.00.808 and follow the trail and your GPS to the cache site. A walk down the trail provides excellent views of the marsh, with the Refinery in the background. It would be a great trail to visit in the spring and fall to watch the migration of our waterfowl.
The cache is a small camouflaged peanut butter container, hidden just off the main trail. It contains a log book, pen/pencil and trinkets.
As always, please rehide as well or better than you found it. Then continue on and enjoy the trail.
PLEASE DO NOT PLACE PEN/PENCIL IN PLASTIC BAGGIE
