A nice easy .5 mile hike on a well groomed trail. There is parking by the bridge.
This is a pretty easy hike through some nice redwoods(literally, in one place you must walk through a redwood tree) along the Smith River on a well maintained trail. You will have to stop in some of the few clearings to get GPS reception. The trail begins at the Hiouchi Bridge and a sign posted there informs you of different lenghts of hikes. The cache is an ammo box stuffed to the gills with goodies. There is a first and second finders ribbon. Fun in any weather.
