Geocache Description:

Team Howling Beagle & the Friends of Rockport Park (FORP) have teamed up to host a fun day of geocaching at Rockport Park in Janesville, WI. As always this is a FREE event!

Physical Address: 2801 W Rockport Rd, Janesville, WI 53548

Event Details: Rockport Park is Janesville's Largest Park at 256 Acres and contains an Outdoor Olympic Swimming Pool with diving well, wading pool, & bathhouse, the wonderful Peace Park Playground, and Six Miles of Hiking Trails that have been just begging for such an event.

There will be approximately 15 to 20 temporary caches placed prior to this event and I'll try to get at least one more permanent cache placed before Spring. I will allow each team to log multiple "Attended" entries for each temp cache they find during this event.

We'll start at approximately 10:00 AM and will end at around 3:00 PM. My goal will be to have a large Nesco roaster full of hot dogs for everyone to munch on, but if that is not your style please bring a bagged lunch, or I'll have a list of near by places to grab a bite to eat.

The event date is before the Janesville Parks Dept's restriction date on having pets in the local parks so be sure to bring your favorite four legged team member. As always please be sure to bring bags to collect their "deposits". The Rockport Park pavilion by Peace Park will be home base for this event.

Please reply with a "Will Attend" posting with the approximate number of team members so we can be sure to have enough event packets. I'll have the cache listings printed for manual input along with a great trail map which has been supplied by the FORP. Can't wait to see our old friends & a bunch of new faces!
