Located in Hobbs State Park-Conservation Area on the Shaddox Hollow Nature Trail (1.5 mi.). At the trail head, make sure you follow the arrow to go the correct way on the trail or you may find yourself looking in the wrong place.
Hobbs is an 11,764-acre natural park with limited development. There are three additional hiking trails: Pigeon Roost with primitive campsites near Beaver Lake (8.2 mi.);Historic Van Winkle Trail with ADA accessibility and interpretive panels (.5 mi.) and, the 16-mile Hidden Diversity Multi-Use Trail for hikers, non-motorized bikes, and equestrians. Note that the park allows permitted seasonal hunting and contains a 100-yard public shooting range. There are restrooms at user-friendly locations. The cache is a green ammo box. Please sign the log book; should be a pen and pencil there. There are numerous small trade items representing Arkansas and the Ozarks region. Some prizes for trade must be redeemed at the office (N36 17.101; W093 54.184) of the
Hobbs State Park-Conservation Area (only one per person allowed). The cache is monitored weekly.
