Evangola State
Park is located in
Brant, New York. This 733 acre park opened in 1954. Formerly
farmland, the land was used to grow tomatoes, beans and corn.
Evangola's major attraction from the beginning was it's arc-shaped
shore-line and natural sand beach. The park has a variety of
habitats including lakeshore, woodland, meadow and wetlands.
Wildlife in the park includes white-tailed deer, raccoons, turkey,
and red-tailed hawks. Over 100,000 people visit this park each
year!
In addition to swimming, the park has picnic
facilities, baseball and soccer fields, tennis and basketball
courts and 80 campsites.
This cache is placed with
the permission of the State Park
Manager: Mr. Gary J. Hubert
for the express purpose of recreational
Geocaching. All park rules must be followed or we will be
asked to remove it. The hours for this hunt are Sun-up to
Sun-down. The warmer seasons will have a fee for entering the
park but the cooler months you will not have to pay a
fee.
I have permission to do 5
such hunts here and this is the second of five. You are looking for
a Plastic Container filled with Goodies ( So Trade Fare)and a log
book. The hide site is off the trail around 20 + feet (follow
the tail as much as possible) and well hidden. You can expect
to get a little muddy in the wet season and buggy in the dry
season, so cache wise! Tb's and Coin Trades are Most
Welcome...If you take one replace it with one
please... The Co-Ord's were taken on a overcast
day so let me know how close I am so I can make adjustments. Please
put everything back just as you found it, you'll see what I
mean..
