ARC DE TREE-OMPHE Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

monkeyfist: Sadly, the route to the cache became strewn with blowdowns, the beautiful arch deteriorated, and the task of required camo upkeep is the 'clump of grass' that broke the camel's back. Thanks to all who found the hide and came to this scenic location.

Geocache Description:

Near SW end of watershed peninsula, .5 mile from Dulaney Valley Rd. and Jarretsville Pike.

9/22/07 a sturdy quart container replaced the improvised cache. For a successful cacher, there was an 'ARCH DE TRIUMPH' NEARBY to march majestically through, covering oneself with geo-honor, glory, and victory. But, as of March 2010 it has collapsed.

The site has multiple scenic views of the reservoir. You have the option of water access. The "stick up" cache (GCTBTV)is on the same peninsula.

The cache utilizes INDIGINOUS camo; please exercise due diligence when replacing after finding.

P.S. An easy, level, well-worn footpath meanders close to the western shore of the peninsula leading to the cache.
