Geocache Description:

This land is the Warren Wildlife Sanctuary, Chelmsford Open Spaces parcel B7.

Please do not attempt to access this area from Cambridge Street, or any other private property in Chelmsford. A maintained trail runs from Great Brook Farm State Park to this cache.

The best access to this area is from Thanksgiving Forest Parking. Walk counterclockwise, on trails, around the pond to the cache. The cache is nestled in some shrub/tree roots beside a large dead oak tree, on the edge of the marsh. This pretty area is seldom visited and includes a babbling brook that becomes an icy cascade in cold weather. Scenic Cattails and some dead trees occupy the marsh opposite this cache. The cache is under leaves and a large piece of bark.

This cache can also be done while doing Great Brook Farm (GBF) caches. The closest start is at Thanksgiving Forest, but the GBF canoe launch is a close second. GBF trail maps are available at the Hart Barn (Cross Country ski area) and near the ice cream stand.
