Now continue your journey to the Bishop’s Chair using the path of your choice. The 5th Anglican Bishop of Calgary liked to walk in Cochrane Ranch when he visited us, especially after his retirement in 1983. He came across this rock with a built in seat where the views were expansive and he could sit and think about the world and our place in it. He was a great man and served as the Anglican Bishop from 1968 to 1983. His time on our earth ended on Dec 12, 1993 and he is much missed. I am sure that the rock has served this purpose for hundreds of years by many other people. What changes have been wrought since the first hunter surveyed the valley bottom for game while sitting here. Although it is not so peaceful now and has narrowly missed being destroyed by various construction activities, it still makes a good place to sit and think (more so on a warm summer evening). So, sit for a moment and think about our good fortune to live in this wonderful land and what each of us might do to make it even better. The cache is a small LnL container holding a few key chains, trinkets, a twoonie FTF prize and a loonie STF prize. If you are sitting on the right rock you are very close to the cache. GPSr accuracy was +/- 4 meters. Please do not post photos of the subject rock as that would be too much of a spoiler, thanks.
