**Feb2** - Roll Out The Barrel.. of 'cache' Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Cache-tech: Greetings from Geocaching.com

I have been looking at caches in the area that have been temporarily disabled for a while now and it looks like your cache has been under the weather for some time. While I feel that Geocaching.com should hold the location for you and block other cachers from entering the area around this cache for a reasonable amount of time I don’t think we can do so any longer. Therefore, I have archived this cache.
When repairs to this cache are completed and it is time to have it reposted, it will be no problem. Just drop me a note and let me know the GC waypoint number of the cache or better yet, the URL of the cache page. You will still be able to access your cache page just as before by going to your “My Cache Page” and clicking the link (Mine) across the top and then click on this cache.

I will be more than happy to take a look at your cache again to see if it is still is within the guidelines of the Geocaching.com website for cache placement and posting.

I want to thank you for the time that you have taken to contribute to geocaching in the past and am looking forward to seeing your cache up and running in the future.

Thanks for your understanding,
Cache-tech

Geocache Description:

Our 1st cache hide. This location once employed many local men, incl my grandfather & uncles who worked at the stave mill in the 1930's/40's where many of these guys lost a finger or 2. The area where the cache is hidden was once filled with piled lumber that was shipped in for the mill to make BARREL staves. When we first scouted this area for a possible cache location last fall, there was a moose standing on the dirt road who got spooked by our approaching vehicle and ran off.

The camo-ed rubbermaid container contains a log-book, pencil & sharpener with the following items: FTF $5 CanTireMoney, 3-way light with batteries, mini monster truck, Dora doll, rain poncho, mini marker, pkg tissues, lizard, dino, troll, key-chain level & a few other traders.

Turn off onto Mill Street by Ramona's Bakery, go past the 2 side-by-side utility bldgs on the dirt road. Take the 2nd grassy road on the right hand side or you can just park right there, depending on the condition of the road and it's a short walk from there. There's a little bit (very little) of bush whacking. When you find the cache, you will notice a little babbling brook right behind you, which was a bit of a pleasant surprise. (It may dry up in the warmer weather, hope not... we'll see).
