Geocache Description:

The location is suitable for pushchairs and is child friendly. It is quite a long walk but it is not a difficult walk. If you need the postcode for your car GPS for the parking it is PL7 1UH. You are looking for a round clipbox.

This cache is located in Saltram. This is the estate of Saltram house which is a National Trust property. (visit link)
I would recommend a visit while you are there it is really amazing and featured in the film Sense and Sensibility.

Ok on to the cache. This is a lovely cache for children to find. It is well know that there are fairies living in Saltram woods and have secret hiding places for their toys. They have to do this because in 1843 the goblins chased them out of their tree stumps trying to steal their toys for themselves. You can however swap their toys for new ones.

Park at Saltram house set off down the hill. When you get to the bottom of the hill with the pond on your left turn left and go through the open gateway. Walk on a little way and go over the little bridge. Watch out for the goblins here. Clap your hands and stamp you feet on the bridge to scare them away. You now follow the fairy trail until you come a crossroad in the path.

Once you have found the cache you can either come back the way you came or continue up the hill to the top where the path splits into two. Take the one on the left follow it until you come another path. Turn left again and it will take you back to the car park. This is a lovely walk, enjoy!
