Geocache Description:

A great hike to an outstanding viewpoint near the summit of Beech Mountain. The cache is actually about halfway between two excellent viewpoints, one facing south and the other north west.

Bring your lunch and spend the afternoon watching hawks and vultures soaring below.

Best access is from the parking lot at the junction of Greenwood Lake Turnpike and East Shore Rd. There is also an access point on East Shore Rd at the I Hear The Train a Comin' cache.

You can make this into a great loop hike using the Sterling Ridge Trail then turning west on the Lake to Lake Trail (red on white blazes, then turning south onto the Jennings Hollow trail (a short unblazed trail connects the Lake to Lake with the Jennings Hollow). Along the way you can bag the Long Pond Ironworks, Sterling Ridge, Jennings Creek and Jennigs Hollow caches.

See NYNJTC map #115 or uploaded map on this page for details.

Note to FTF. If you can, please take BOTH of the Koala TBs so they don't get stuck in the cache. They are in a race.
