Changed the name to Fool's Gold '07 to avoid confusion with stonecarvers Fool's Gold cache that is also in the area.
Easy to get to. Good stop from I-90, especially when the pass is closed or if you need to use the restroom!! All but the final destination are wheelchair accessible in the summer, but in the winter, there is a lot of snow near the actual cache location.
This is a fun multi-stage cache! Take a tour through downtown Cle Elum. Use the bathroom, get some coffee, have lunch, and have fun driving or walking around to find this cache.
1. The waypoints listed above will lead you to the first stop in your voyage. Great place to stop, especially if you've had a lot of the beverage the sign depicts. Use the word on the door to the left to find the waypoints you will need to find the next stop (A=1, B=2, C=3, etc.). For 47 11._ _ _ use the numbers from the word and subtract 12,860. For 120 56._ _ _ use the numbers from the word and subtract 13,122.
2. You should now find yourself in front of a large, colorful depiction of a common rodeo animal (if you mess with it, you'll get the horns). What is the physical feature of this animal that you can only see one of, but you know there are two of? This should be a three-letter word. (a) Use this word with the same decription method as above. (b) Use each of the three resulting numbers and add them together. (c) Now multiply by 20 and add 1 to get 47 11._ _ _ . To get 120 56._ _ _ repeat steps (a) and (b) from above. Now add 373.
3. Now you should be in front of a business whose phone number is in its name. Add 310 to the area code to get 47 11._ _ _. Use the second set of 3 numbers to get 120 56._ _ _ by subtracting 12. Now you have the coordinates for the cache!!!!
4. Go find the cache!
