Short Description:
4 point multi-cache, you will find the co-ordinates of the next point in each bottle.
First point: N 46° 54,637 E 17° 51,151, a bottle under the rim of a cliff.
Second point: a bottle at the base of a tree about 2m from the path.
Third point: a bottle of 2 m high
Fourth point: a box by the branches of a fallen down tree.
Long Description:
We invite you to a tour of Sajkod, to the igneous extruding on the western side of the Tihany peninsula. This 4 point multi will lead you over Nyereg mountain, Csúcs mountain and finally end in the Szakadi forest. This is, probably, Tihany's most untouched, forest covered, hillside. On the way you will also encounter Tihany's highest point (Csúcs mountain) and the remains of a watchtower from the ancient roman times.
How to get here:
Take road 71 and turn south onto a smaller road towards Sajkod at the intersection at N 46° 55,251' E 17° 51,159'. Parking is advised by the point: N 46°54,903' E 17° 50,913'. From here take the first road to the left, Romkápolna utca (utca = street), and the next street to the right, Mályva utca. Follow this street up the hill until it turns right and becomes a smaller path; soon you will find the "orange" marked tourist path, follow this!
The Cache:
The first point at N 46° 54,637' E 17°51,151' altitude = 221m, is a bottle under the rim of a cliff. It contains the coordinates of the next point.
NB: Be careful when looking for the bottle near the edge of the cliffs, especially at night.
The Second point is also a bottle at the base of tree in a 2m radius from the path. Here you will find the coordinates of the next point. The third point, like the second, is a bottle, containing coordinates. The fourth and final point is a container (about 20x20x10 cm) by the branches of a fallen down tree. From the place of suggest parking and the final point the total distance is about 4km (that is if you don't get lost). Note that there is no possibility for filling up your water supply on the way. On the way back, to take a different path, walk back about 600m on the orange marked path; you will cross an asphalt road; walk on this road towards the shore and you'll end up by the suggested parking place.
