CARW2007 - Sprucing up Tony Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

grandpaloren: I believe this one disappeared when they widened the Anthony Henday. Too bad, because this was a nice 5-gallon bucket you couldn't miss. Apparently the earth moving equipment didn't miss it, either. Thanks to everyone who found it and especially to those who tried in vain to find it after the roadwork took it out.

All the best, grandpaloren

Geocache Description:

This cache was placed for Edmonton’s winter edition of the successful CAR2006 Event organized by Shearzone. This event involves hiding a cache during the time leading up to the CAR event and finding CAR caches over the designated 24-hour period (Feb. 16-17, 2007). These CAR caches should not be sought out until 5:30 PM, Friday February 16. (See GC1085X.)

This is another ammo can in a spruce tree. You can drive pretty close to the cache but there is no parking available there. Parking is available at N53° 28.985' W113° 39.770'. From there it is an easy walk unless there is snow on the ground as there was when the cache was planted. If you have snow shoes, this would be a good place to use them, although snowshes were not used to place this cache.
