The latest in a series of caches in the Northfield and Surrounding Area (hence "NASA").
To make a change from the series of cheeky challenges we have been setting in this area, NASA 5 is a simple, straightforward cache in another of the local parks. The area where the cache is hidden is on a strip of land recently bought by "The Friends of Cotteridge Park" from British Rail with a view to creating "Cotteridge Community Orchard". At the time this cache was placed (and since checked) it is a little muddy but most of the route from the adjoining roadways can be completed on well-surfaced paths (but beware, the brick paths may be slippy). There is no need to climb any spiked fences as there is a gate into the "Orchard", which has to be accessed from the Park and not from the railway line. The cache is a micro container with log papers only - please bring a pen. There appears to be quite a bit of work being undertaken here and the park has a plethora of dog-walking muggles. Beware the muggle who feeds the birds in the newly acquired strip of land - there has been fresh bread in evidence on each of our visits. Plentiful parking on adjacent roads, well-maintained play area and skatepark on site. There even appears to be a full-time park-keeper.
