Have you ever gone somewhere that you thought you knew, only to
find out you haven't been there before. But by that point you know
it's to late and you are totally Lost? The "C&C Where are
We?...Lost?" Series is a 20 cache series that will be placed all
over the Western half of Nova Scotia.
I've always love to Explore service roads that I see from the
highway wondering where the go and if there is really something
cool at the end of the road.
This one time I was going down such a road with my Faithful
Geocaching Companion, Morgan(geo-dog).
We had to put the truck into four wheel drive for some of the
tricker spots but other than that it was a very well maintained
road.....all of a sudden a Red 1947 international came flying out
of this trailhead and almost slammed into us
"Friggin Jerk!" I yelled at the driver
I decided that giving the driver "The Finger" was in order
also.(Have you ever done something in the heat of the moment that
you wish you could take back?)
Well the driver touched his brakes and stopped....I could, just
let it go....but No way this jerk could've killed me!
"What's your problem!"I yelled
The truck roared...the driver was revving the engine trying to
scare me
"You want a Problem?"I yelled
The truck suddenly took off down the road......Idiot(I thought
to myself.)The rest of the day was uneventful and Morgan and I were
having suck a goodtime out geocaching that we lost track of
time.
"Come on Morg...it's time to get home" I openend the back door
to the truck and she jumped in. It was getting dark and I just
wanted to find my way out of the backroads and get on a nice paved
road.
When we just crossed a old bridge I heard the roaring of a
engine...It was the red truck!!.It came out like a bullet(loud and
fast)a intense white light was blinding me, Morgan was barking like
crazy. The truck started to ram me from behind, I was fighting hard
to keep my truck on the road.
I remembered there was a sharpe turn coming up, I started to
swerve kicking up rocks trying to blind the trucks driver. The
sharpe turn was coming up, there was so much dust I could barely
see the lights of the truck in the rearview mirror. I came though
the turn alright and now I could see the house lights indicating
the end of the service road, I looked back in the mirror and didn't
see the trucks lights back there....... when I got to the paved
section I stopped the truck and got out, expecting to hear the
sound of the trucks engine, but I didn't. When I looked at my back
bumper to see what kind of damage was done to it I saw nothing
there? That was the last time I ventured down service roads.
Morale of the story is to be careful out there!
