Geocache Description:

This is one of the series of caches designed to break up a tedious journey. In line with the series ethos, this cache is located within about ½ mile of the motorway junction and should be easily found. The cache is a medium sized plastic lunch box.

Junction 30 of the M4 is called Cardiff Gate and full services can be found off the interchange roundabout. But don’t treat it as the gateway into Cardiff: rather head the other way, past the security gateway into Cefn Mably Park, the select housing redevelopment of the former hospital. This narrow country lane, which can be very wet and muddy at times, is heading for some lovely countryside around Rudry, although it should only take a minute or two to get to the cache. It is possible to park within a few paces of the cache, at a road junction. The cache is 4-5 paces from the road over a rough bank. Ignore the code letters on the back of the Log Book in this cache.
