Geocache Description:

By Exchange and South Maple, adjoining downtown,
You'll find Glendale, a picturesque burial ground
Many prominent folks from the Akron metropolis
Rest in this mid-nineteenth century necropolis

The cache is concealed near Section 15
From its site, a spectacular view can be seen
Just below, mausoleums like sentinels stand
All along Cypress Avenue, stately and grand

To the east is a chapel of gothic design
Graceful trees arch before it along the incline
Past the chapel, a bell tower stands on a hill
But the sonorous toll of the bell is now still

To the south is an angel in profile view -
A celestial messenger, holy and true -
Who reflects in this eloquent sculpture of stone
The unparalleled peace of a heavenly home

Additional info:
• Cemetery hours are 9 am to 5 pm. Enter through the main gate on Glendale (the other gates are usually closed except during a funeral).
• The cache is close to a steep area (hence the level 2 rating), but can be accessed easily from level terrain.
• The container will hold a few small trade items. Original contents include 5 Sacagawea dollars for the FTF!

The attached link has an interesting story about the Civil War Memorial Chapel located near the main entrance of the cemetery. (visit link)
