Geocache Description:

East Linton, winner of two Scotland in Bloom trophies, lies in the heart of East Lothian’s rich farming countryside. Now that the new Expressway bypasses East Linton altogether you must turn off the A1 at Haddington or Dunbar if you wish to visit the town. Many, many people will have driven either past or even through East Linton and never known of the lovely spot called Lynn Rocks, a few yards below the old bridge, where the River Tyne foams through a narrow gorge before tumbling into a deep, tranquil pool.

This cache takes you on a gentle, circular walk past the Lynn Rocks, along the Riverside Path and back through the attractive old village centre.

!Warning!

The falls and gorge are potentially very dangerous and there are sheer drops into the pool below the falls. Geocachers with children should exercise great care.

The walk is described as starting from outside the Linton Hotel (N 55 59.125, W 002 39.309), where you should be able to find parking nearby, but you could start from anywhere in the village. Walk down towards the river and enter through the gate at Lynn Rocks. The cache has been placed a little distance downstream as the immediate vicinity of the falls is overlooked by nearby houses. Continue for some 200 meters or so beyond the cache and the path turns away from the river and leads back into the High Street from where you can complete the circle back to your starting point.

The path passes close to the cache site and muggles may appear without much warning. Exercise caution; stealth may be required

As my GPS readings at the cache site were very variable I have made the clue quite detailed.
