Geocache Description:


This is a 2 step cache located on the shores of Lake Opechee. I grew up near this beach and spent many a cold morning trucking through the woods to make it to swimming lessons. I'd like to share this beautiful spot. To find the second cache you will need know a bit of history about the beach. You will be directed to all the information you need in the first cache.

To get here:
From the south, follow Route 106 through Laconia. Turn north at Lakeport Square. Follow Elm Street to the north end of the park and turn west. I suggest parking at the park at the coordinates: N43 33.249 W71 28.150. The entrance to the beach road (blockaded in winter) is located at N43 33.227 W 71 28.315

Both caches are less than 300 ft from paved road and less than 10 feet from foot paths. The first is small and well disguised and only includes directions to the second. The hint will unravel it and make it a difficulty 1. The second is a 40 oz screw-top rigid plastic container.
