This cache is located on a fantastic boardwalk and easy to get
to. In fact, you should not leave the boardwalk! However, stealth
is required.Make sure you bring a pen and please be careful placing
this cache back.
Coolum boardwalk. Here's a bit of trivia! In May 2000, Maroochy
council commissioned architects to come up with a design for a
boardwalk along Coolum beachfront, but with a few guiding
principles to make it tricky! -design and construction should have
minimum disturbance to the site -the boardwalk must fit around
significant trees and other features. -and accessible to everyone!
.........so they did it and with the help of the community created
one of Coolum's unique features. The length of the 1st stage to Pt
Perry is 350m. A 2nd stage is planned to continue south around the
headland cliff tops to pt arkwright. An amazing nature walk of
1.5k. Grants have been allocated to develop art into the structure
as well as future solar powered lighting along its way. Watching a
plan come together.....priceless! So grab a cuppa, go for a
"seastroll" or sit and watch the ocean whilst checking this cache
out....just for a bonus!
