Geocache Description:

Amazing forest area, with great hiking, and good views.

This cache is located about 1/10 of a mile down the green trail. This trail was designed and installed by me along with Troop 20, and Troop 6 scouts, as my eagle project. I worked hand and hand with the Smithfield Land Trust, the organization that owns, and maintains this land, as well as others to build this trail back in 2002, shortly after they acquired the land. The trail is about .33 of a mile long before joining up with many other trails. There is 2 short trails that lead to over looks, looking out onto Stump Pond. This place seems to be windy year round. The trail head is a bit steep, and then levels out to follow the hill top. You can hike from this point all the way to Smithfield Commons; if you do you will pass many other geocaches. There are 2 geocaches in the wolf hill area, so check them out.

This cache is a standard cache, the container is different, my mom was going to throw it away before I grabbed it. It’s a medium size, covered in green duck tape. Be careful getting the cache, it can be a little dangerous.

This area is open from Dawn till Dusk, so it is NOT AVAIBLE DURING NIGHT HOURS. The Smithfield Police Station is right next door, so don’t try anything sneaky.
