in our disclaimer.
Celebrate the Vernal Equinox (March 20) and the 2006 geocaching awards all in the same evening.
6:30 PM (or close as you can)
Join us at the new Santa Fe Cattle Company in Lovely Leeds. We have a room reserved and the food is mighty tasty.
In keeping with the long held tradition of awards show, your humble hosts are pleased to present the 2006 "Geos". This is sure to be an award event like no other. Nominations will be accepted in specific categories and the top four will be placed on a ballot for live voting at the event. Nominations will be accepted from registered geocachers (as registered on GC.com as of Dec 31, 2006) and only one nomination email per cacher. In the event there are ties in the voting the host will make the determination as to which nominations will be placed on the ballot. If this is a problem or seems unfair we are sorry. Hey, get you own awards show and you can run it how you like. Just kidding, relax. To ensure you are on the voting ballots attach a five-dollar bill to the back of your email entry.
(We assume people wishing to attend will be nominating cachers and caches in the Central Alabama area - but you are welcome to nominate whomever, and what ever you want.)
Once in awhile your hosts will post notes indicating how the nominations are going. Email the cache owner listed above after you have given the awards the proper consideration. You can nominate caches or cachers for each category and you can even nominate yourself! Really ugly trophies will be awarded to each winner.
Each registered cacher can nominate caches that were found, hidden, searched for, tried but not found, cussed at, lost, tripped over, downloaded to a GPS or PDA, printed out or in anyway part of their personal caching experience during the year 2006 or before.
The 2006 WINNERS are:
1. Favorite Micro: Betaman - Betaman's Epsilon
