Hanson Cliffside/Dwelley Stone Cache Multi-Cache
MadMin: I attempted to contact the owner of Hanson Cliffside/Dwelley Stone Cache to find out about the status of this cache on May 16, 2008. I have received no response from the owner on the cache page or via email. Because of that I'm afraid I have to archive this cache.
I will be more than happy to review this cache again and (hopefully) reinstate it once you have corrected any issues with the cache. please contact me via ma.reviewer@gmail.com to do so.
Please note that unarchiving a cache page places it through the same review process as a newly proposed cache, using the cache placement guidelines currently in effect.

Somewhat vertical terrain. Beautiful Location. Accessible. Off State St. in Hanson just before Meyettes. Park in the Dirt Lot near the 1995 Bridge and cross the river (cross the bridge and take your first left into the trail which you will see goes up a hill but has a nice trail.)go up the trail. This one's pretty easy if you don't mind a little hike and some beautiful scenery. Say Hi To Mr. Potato Head, Who lives in this Cache. Take a picture of you with him and post it on here if you like!
NOTE: This Cache is a 2 part Multi which consists of the Hanson (Formerly Sedate) Cliffside Cache (Container 1) and the Dwelley Stone Cache (Container 2) Geo50Chevy and I decided to combine caches due to their close proximity. The Coordinates for container 2 are written down inside the sedate cache, along with instructions on how to get to the Dwelley Stone. Do not use the coordinates on the archived page for the Dwelley Stone, the container that used to be at these coordinates has since gone missing so the Dwelley Stone just consists of a final container now.
My hints and directions are clear so you should have no problem finding this one at all. follow these directions, check the coordinates (There's a lot of Treetop Cover) and if all else fails, the hint will help you. Well, here's how to find it:
Go into the Park into the woods toward the Indian Head River off of State Street. Go up the trail like you're on your way toward the Dwelley Stone. You go up the hill but you see a big Black Fence blocking the trail, turn LEFT and follow the fence as you walk alongside it. DO NOT TURN RIGHT and follow the fence because then you will be on the inside of where you need to be follow the fence and turn the corner and keep going for a while and you can see where you meet back with the trail and head North a little. Go on the trail and keep walking. Eventually, you find yourself walking kind of down for a while, you can take a right and go to the land bridge or bear left and go to the campsite, it's not right out in the open. (I don't want it to be muggled by Kids who party there but I seriously doubt someone would accidentally find it in the spot it's hidden in.) but it's very close by. It's not hard if you pay close attention to my directions and have a somewhat good understanding of the area.
I try to keep items of up most quality in my cache. I can walk to these caches from my house so they will be maintained thoroughly and well stocked.
Inventory as of 9-6-07: Ninja Turtle, Brand new flash Light and Battery, AA Batteries, Water Bottles, Asprin, Chip Clips, Baby Staplers and Baby Scotch Tape. Upgraded to new Container. By the way, Mr. Potato Head lives in this cache. Please Do not remove him, but take a picture of him and post it on the page if you like. If you like Mr. Potato Head, I have some brand new Mr. Potato Heads in the box that I will put in my macro cache when it's up (Which Will Be Part 3) Im thinking of stocking that one with Cool Movies, CD's, and maybee a portable T.V. so when you get to that cache you can stop and chill for a half an hour and watch a show. Of course, the third one will be harder to find than the first two.
Now, You will find a little piece of paper inside Sedate with coordinates and directions to Dwelley. Good Luck. The Final Coordinates is the fist cache I have ever been to, the Dwelley Stone. It's part of the history of my street and a very interesting local historical landmark. Just walk down the cliffside towards the Babbling Brook Stone Bridge and keep going along the trail Your GPS Can Help you with the rest, despite treetop cover, you'll find it's very accurate.
As for the dwelley stone, on 1/7/2008 me and my friend Tuts have discovered the grave or James H. Dwelley and James H. Dwelley Sr. in Bryantville. Thinking of posting the coords on here as a final virtual cache step. More updates later.
