Geocache Description:

This cache is part of the Maine R.O.S.E. Series and is meant to be really obvious, simple and easy. It's perfect for cachers who want a quick find, or who are not up for a physical challenge. The purpose of this series is to promote caching to everyone, and create a fun family cache experience. Some fellow cachers get discouraged by vague descriptions and caches that appear to be difficult hides. Our attempt here is to make the cacher aware of the entire situation before they attempt the cache. If you have any comments that should be added, please let us know.

Directions: This cache is located in Holden at the intersection of Copeland Hill Road and Sunset Drive. Driving to the location you will see an outstanding view of Brewer and Bangor. There are a few houses in the area so please use stealth.

Parking: You can pull into the dead end road Sunset Drive to turn and you will be positioned perfectly to Stop and grab the cache. In winter, snow may inhibit totally easy access to the cache but the snowbank may help you.

Difficulty: This cache has been rated 1.5 for difficulty because the cache is not in plain sight. You will need to remove the cache from a man made structure on the side of the road.

Terrain: This cache has been rated 1.5 for terrain because there is no trail.

Distance: The distance from the place to pull to the side of the road to the cache is roughly 10-20 feet, depending on where you choose to park.

Cache Container: The container is a KeyTainer with magnet on the back and painted silver. Watch where it is attached and please replace carefully in the same spot.

More Information: This series has been developed in collaboration with Cache Maine and Becket. We have each committed to hiding a dozen rose caches in our area. The release of these roses will be sporatic in hopes to have three dozen live by Valentine's Day 2007.
