POLICE have swooped on another area of woodland after the
anti-terror raids which swept the town six weeks ago.
Officers from the Metropolitan Police have taped off an area of
Gomm's Wood.
Their cordon starts half way up Cock Lane and stretches deep into
the woods.
Vans full of Met officers decamped onto residents' driveways as
they conducted searches of the woodland, while officers from Thames
Valley kept watch on the taped off areas.
John Cooper, who lives opposite the woods, said: "I haven't been
down there for years but there's not been anything out the
ordinary.
"It doesn't actually surprise me because it's all linked to King's
Wood along the back.
The search off Fennell's Wood in Loudwater has been stepped up
with more officers being drafted in, while the operation at King's
Wood in Micklefield continues.
