Nomex: The offlimit guidelines are clear: Caches that are buried. If a shovel, trowel or other “pointy” object is used to dig, whether in order to hide or to find the cache, then it is not appropriate There is a very good reason for the guideline. It's not about any one buried cache, which is no big deal, it's about people getting it in their heads that caches might be buried and searching accordingly.
"My GPSr shows a 40 ft. EPE, so I start digging up everything within a forty foot circle around ground zero, while muttering under my breath: "I know that buried cache is here somewhere!!" What was a beautiful fern covered forest floor now resembles a construction zone, and after a few more seekers who've found the "exceptional" buried cache, it looks like a war zone.
