Ulolo Park at the above coordinates may look like an ordinary park in suburbia but there is a little bit of a story.
A few years ago a local school wanted to sell the park for funds to build a school hall on the basis that the entire community could use the hall. They wanted to subdivide the park and build townhouses believing the park was not used because the play equipment in the park had been left to rust.
While this all sounds pretty ok, the issue was that in Hornsby Shire there are many community halls which had very poor usage rates. This hall would simply be another one. And the council and school were unaware this park was used by the local families and they had wanted the equipment to be repaired for some time.
As a result the local residents (including the nilbogs) got together to "Save Ulolo Park" and keep this piece of greenery from townhouse development. The residents started an action group and petitioned the council to retain the park. It did not take long before the park was saved, new equipment was installed and the locals planted some extra trees to keep it green. And that's the story of this park.
This cache is inspired by "Off the Beaten Track" by Team AAA a great little cache in Bathurst.
To avoid scrabbling in private gardens or near the road, WP1 is confined within the park itself!!
WP1 is currently a number puzzle and an interim fix until we have a new nano replacement.
To find WP2 - the coordinates for the final location, please locate the sign at the cache coordinates and replace the park rules with their respective number.
