Geocache Description:

Seek a regular cache

I have a couple of old locks for which I have forgotten the combinations. Luckily I have a drawing of the plates inside the locks. They were odd old locks. They had 5 numbers instead of the standard 3. I labeled them lock “44” and lock “93”. These locks had a mechanism inside with a lever that rested on the top of five plates. Each of these plates had a notch at a specific spot, and a pin that extended through the plate sticking out on both the front and back of the plates. As with other locks, to open these, the combination was entered by spinning the number disk in alternating directions. When I got the plates lined up with the notches in all 5 at the top, the lever would drop, and the lock could open. The front plate was attached to the disk with numbers from 0 to 9 evenly spaced clockwise around the disk. The pin on the front plate lined up with the number 0 on the disk. The first number in the combination was for a clockwise spin of the disk.

If I can figure out the combination to lock 44 : __ __ __ __ __

And the combination to lock 93 : __ __ __ __ __

I think I’ll be able to retrieve whatever it was that I stashed away.
