Geocache Description:

This is the Third Chick in the "Hens And Chicks" series.

This cache is located in the Riverbend Nature Area, southwest of Holt. It is within about 100 feet of a trail, so very little bushwhacking is needed from the trail to the cache. You can park at the parking area off Nichols Rd - see the park map at www.ingham.org/PK/Maps/BUR%20Color%20Hiking%20Trail%20Map.pdf. In the summer months, hiking and biking are permitted on the nature trails. Explore mature forests, fields in various stages of succession, a creek, wooded flood plains, and river bank habitats. In the winter, trails are groomed for cross-country skiing! Pets and alcoholic beverages are PROHIBITED in Riverbend Natural Area. The Park Opens One Half Hour before Sunrise for Pedestrian Access and 8:00am for Vehicle Access. The Park Closes One Half Hour after Sunset, unless otherwise posted.

This cache is the 3rd chick to "hatch" in this area. The main container (the "hen") is Hen and Chicks (GC107E7) by ralfcoder.

This is a medium size lock-and-lock box that is smaller than an ammo can.
