Geocache Description:


A fairly easy multi-cache set in Clevedon. Please be careful as you will have to cross a couple of roads.

Start: The trail starts at Clevedon Pier N51.26.559 W002.51.680 which is the only structurally intact Grade 1 listed pier in the country. (visit link)

Enjoy the view and inspect the signs to identify in which year the pier was originally opened to find co-ordinates. Year = ABCD.

Decrypt the following coordinates to locate the first waypoint.
N51.(2xA) C . C (D/3) (B-8) W002.5 A . C (B-5) A

Waypoint 1:
In which year was the H20 structure erected in memory of Edward Long Davies? Year = EFGH
Decrypt the following coordinates to locate the next waypoint.
N51.(2xA) C . 5 C E W002.5 A . (C-H) G (F-H)

Waypoint 2:
Look across the road with clear vision, J=shop number/10

First check you have interpreted the clues correctly, they should total 38 when the individual numbers (9) are added together. Now you are ready to locate the cache.

Decrypt the following coordinates to locate the Cache.
N51. (2xA) C . 5(C+J)8 W002. 5 A . (3xA)(C+J)J
Don't forget to admire the fantastic view on the way to the cache.

(There are a number of steps to climb, however it is possible to avoid these steps if you continue past WayPoint 2 to the end of the line of shops and take the first left)

The Cache:
There is a clear view of Seawall Flotsam & Jetsam (GCXT46) and Poets Hill (GCZEG) very near to this cache. (Please be careful of the drop.)

Due to the urban nature of this cache the GPS reception can be a little intermittent in places.

Free on street Car Parking is available in a number of locations, however the premium spot is N51.26.627 W002.51.622. Convenient for an ice-cream or a cup of tea before heading home.
