The cache was placed during the winter, so stealth wasn't necessary. If you come in the winter, you might want to bring your toboggans--I did find some kids sledding here. It looked like a lot of fun! In warmer weather, you will probably need to be more cautious of muggles. Feel free to bring a picnic lunch, go for a swim and otherwise enjoy the beauty of Loughborough Lake while waiting them out!
Unforunately, there is a "no pets" sign at the entrance so you should probably leave the geo-dogs at home.
Parking area is at N 44° 22.177 W 076° 32.270, but you might not want to park there in the winter. Many GPS maps are not updated with what the roads *really* look like. To make it easier, look for Four Seasons Drive follow signs pointing to Davidson Beach.
The cache is ammo can, and originally contained:
- 7-in-1 Card Tool
- assorted carabiners
- Fox 40 whistle
- knitting ruler
- bicycle tire patch kit
- spare AA batteries
- pair of tea lights (candles)
- log book
- AND
- a special FTF prize package!
This cache was placed in concert with the Kingston Area Geocachers (KAG) Event Cache "Lunch at Doffer's - The Regift Extravaganza" (GC10E4G).
Please be discreet when retrieving and replacing the cache.
Congratulations to bluelamb03 and Remote Sensor on the FTF. Why am I not surprised?
