The Musquodoboit Trailways brochure reads, "On July 1, 1916, the communities along the Eastern Shore and Musquodoboit Valley celebrated the official opening of the first passenger run of the Canadian National Railway branch line from Dartmouth to Upper Musquodoboit. The rail line played an important role in the economy of the region, transporting produce, passengers and raw materials to town and back, and served as a vital link between communities. According to local stories, the line was affectionately named the 'Blueberry Express' by passengers because the train was so slow that travelers could hop on and off to pick blueberries along the way." Nowadays we enjoy this route as part of the Trans Canada Trail. The cache is a camo medium Lock & Lock containing log book, stash note, FTF reward and trading items. PARKING: N44 53.487 W063 15.016
