The cabin, at last!
This is the cabin I helped build. This cabin was built by Boy Scouts. No powertools! Just kids with saws and axes. We carried the door, windows, plywood floor, tarpaper, and STOVE. These were carried in by scouts. Can you imagine how much work got done on the cabin after carrying full packs this far? This project was started when I was a Cub and finished when I was a Venturer. Today there is a ATV/Snowmobile trail right to the cabin and it is used by the locals. They have been doing the maintanence(poorly) on the cabin. I get calls from time to time from former scouts that want to visit "The Cabin" and I am always willing to join them in a hike down memory trail. This is a nice spot to take a break from your hike, have a bite to eat and find a cache. The cache is 10m from the cabin. It is a large cammoed first aid kit placed in a maple clump in a thicket. The present users of the cabin don't go in there as not a trig was broken. Please look for the maple clump and approach cache from the far side.
