Geocache Description:

Not a far walk from parking spot, 200 ft. Please follow the instructions on how to approach this cache. Do not go through the arroyo, it is deep and dangerous!

This is a square mason jar with rubber seal. Cache intially included digital thermometer, mouse badge, dragon-fly travel bug, W4MK-TT3 Traveler Tag w/gold button, angel charm. Please help move along the TB & TT as these are both trackable items. The traveltag is tracked at www.travelertags.com and needs to get to Golden, CO.

Follow These Directions!

From I-25 & Rt 550/165 go East on Rt 165 for 6 miles; go left on Camino de los Pueblitos at the WINERY sign; go past the Winery to the right; go left on dirt road; park before the last home at the end of the dirt road. On the right you'dd see a long narrow open space to walk down past the Juniper tree. The cache is NOT on the last homes property. Walk between the two fences towards the arroyo, this is a county easement. The fence will be on your left side and you will be outside the homes property.

There is a DEEP arroyo straight ahead and what I call the "slide", don't fall into it. Not recommended for kids! Enjoy the view and the sound of the river flowing at the bottom by the big tree. I've posted some photos of the arroyo below. The cache is ON TOP of this area, not in the arroyo.

03/16/12 - I have seen by a recent log posting that a gate has been added to the road which goes to the right of the Winery entrance. This may have been done by the 3 or 4 home owners that live down this street to prevent Geocachers from accessing the road past their properties. The cache is accessible from other ways but they are MUCH more difficult, so unless you are a very determined geocacher and like a challenge I suggest you may want to pass on this one. I am contemplating disabling it but I'll wait to see if anyone has the tenacity to try to access it from another direction before I do so. Good luck to all the Geocachers in their attempts!
