Welcome to the St. Jones/Dover Hundred
C.A.C.H.E. –A.K.A. “Meet me at 1300” Cache. (The name will
make sense when you get there.) You won’t find any
triskaidekaphobia here!
Delaware was one of the original 13 colonies
of the United States and was the first state to ratify the
constitution. Dover is the capital of Delaware and lies in Kent
County which was originally named St. Jones County. The St. Jones
Hundred has since been divided into the East and West Dover
Hundreds. Route 13 (Dupont Highway) is the main state highway
extending 100 miles from north to south. Route 13 was the first
four-lane highway in the nation!!
The cache is stocked with 13 “lucky” items such as a horseshoe,
turtle, hummingbird, ladybug and “lucky” shot-glass, notepad, and
pot of gold. Other cache themed items include a Delaware history
book, “Dela-where?” puzzle, mini souvenir laptop, compass, and
