Geocache Description:

Welcome to the St. Jones/Dover Hundred C.A.C.H.E. –A.K.A. “Meet me at 1300” Cache. (The name will make sense when you get there.) You won’t find any triskaidekaphobia here!

Delaware was one of the original 13 colonies of the United States and was the first state to ratify the constitution. Dover is the capital of Delaware and lies in Kent County which was originally named St. Jones County. The St. Jones Hundred has since been divided into the East and West Dover Hundreds. Route 13 (Dupont Highway) is the main state highway extending 100 miles from north to south. Route 13 was the first four-lane highway in the nation!!

The cache is stocked with 13 “lucky” items such as a horseshoe, turtle, hummingbird, ladybug and “lucky” shot-glass, notepad, and pot of gold. Other cache themed items include a Delaware history book, “Dela-where?” puzzle, mini souvenir laptop, compass, and flashlight. First-to-find gets the Millennium Mom Cookbook CD—WOW-you are lucky! Enjoy your caching adventures and visit to Dover, Delaware. If you are new to the area, remember…in Delaware, all roads lead to Highway 13!! Good Luck! Note: There is plenty of “legal” parking within a few hundred feet.
