Willow Spring Traditional Cache

Elev. 4236
Head out of Hurricane on Hwy 59 toward Apple Valley. A little over 3 miles out of town take a dirt road to the right. Follow this dirt road for about 2.5 miles. Hike in about .24 miles. You could also approach from the north on a dirt road that takes off Hwy 59 and heads south to very near the cache I believe - but that would take away most of the exercise. Why not do a little hiking for the health of it?
When we set the cache out there was ice in the wash and some liquid water as well. While you're there take a look in the wash and see what the spring is doing. The wash is narrow and deep in spots. There is a jungle of tamarisks that you can explore if you want to. You will also see some really cool Boulders with holes and caves on the way. This one would be hot in the summer so be prepared for the heat and watch out for rattlers and those dangerous jack rabbits.
