Stealth_Ninja_Penguin: After much consideration I’ve decided to let this cache go through to the big keeper in the sky[:(] The decision was hard as I had a soft spot for this cache and I quite liked the cache description and the park. The watchers don’t seem to be the problem but perhaps another group of individuals and their quest to find hidey spots for their stashes[|)] I don’t want to put the cache back in a lame place (as I like the well thought out hides rather than those caches just chucked in a bush) and I’m out of ideas for a clever long lasting hide here[xx(]
I miss the rock that originally hid the cache and I still wonder where it went[?]
Many thanks to all who dared to dream by attempting Mt Vinson, especially those who wrote their web logs along its theme[8D] Best cache log has to go to Alex on August 18.

Geocache Description:


Mt Vinson (aka Vinson Massif) is, at 4,892 metres, the highest peak of the great southern continent. If you want to climb it make sure you are a seasoned alpine/polar climber and have a lot of money for specialist equipment and for getting there and back.

An alternative is this nice little park in Prospect. Climb the hill (about 3 metres), feel the victory of conquering this peak and still be home in time for dinner! From the top you can see a whole heap of hidey places (eg in the ends of logs). A cacher’s delight.

Please be stealthy. People will be watching you!
