Geocache Description:

Go to the South end of Crook Road, before the canal there is a cattle guard on the east side leading into the Navy's Nature Trail. Follow the gravel road about 1/4 mile, Park at entrance to the Nature Trail. Coordinates 39 27.177N 118 43.815W WGS84 Datum. Walk through the gate north along the path (950')to the outhouse. Walk west (75') to the poplar trees and find the cache under a tree @ 39 27.335N 118 43.834W WGS 84 Datum. Look out for loud low flying Navy birds!

One of three caches along this trail. You can't find this with your car. You need to walk about 950' north from the entrance of the trail. At the outhouse look west and find the cache under a poplar. Record the wildlife you see for our wildlife survey. The Navy has had this Nature Trail since 1994. The trail runs around a pond for a total length of 3/4 mile. Trail brochure in mail box by outhouse. We have had many tours and school groups here to view the Great Basin Wildlife. No DOGS on the Trail. Take them for a walk in the 200 acres south of the Nature Trail.
