2007 Indiana Spring Picnic Event Cache

This cache has been archived.

IN-GEO North: We were out of state for a few weeks, and wanted to make sure we gave everyone enough time to log. Even last week we got a few folks that had forgot to log things for the event, but they have had plenty of time now.

Thanks for coming to the event. I think all had a great time.

Potato Creek State Park has a large man made lake, great for fishing, boating and swimming, if the weather allows. The park has canoes, rowboats, and paddleboats for rent, along with bicycles that can be used on the 3 ½ mile dedicated bike trail, or on the roads around the park.

This park is the second most popular park in Indiana, so if you are planning on camping for the weekend please make your reservations as soon as possible. Reservations can be made on-line or by telephone. For reservations call 1-866-6campIN or go to www.camp.IN.gov. Some of us have already made reservations and will be staying in the "E" section of the campground. This section is towards the back of the campgrounds and we will be having other activities there.

Please make a note in the log if you plan on attending so that we can plan accordingly. The shelter area has grills, and we will supply the charcoal. Please bring a dish to share as well as your own main course and beverages. We will be having a raffle, and will have door prize drawings before we leave. If each team brings an item for the drawing it will add to the fun. As is customary, after the picnic, you will be able to log this as an event. If you have FRS or GMRS radios bring them along.
