Black Stream Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Maine Family: We placed this cache here because there was an enchanted forest which was a great place for families. The enchanted forest is no longer there so we are removing the cache.

Geocache Description:

The cache is located on the Doughty Hill Road in Sangerville. The cache is a small bottle covered in camo tape in a man made structure on the side of the road over Black Stream.

The cache contains paper, pen, car, TB, a pin and a few other items. In the spring, summer, and fall, the Enchanted Forest is open and there is fishing in the Stream. We have gone here 2 dozen times and come up with a different coordinate each time. We averaged it out and made the cache explicit. There is a gravel pit across the road but isn't plowed in the winter. In the winter you can pull off to the side of the road. The rest of the year you can pull down into the parking lot beside the stream. Sometimes there is heavy truck traffic. Be careful. In the summer, just down the road heading toward Dover, Stutzman Farms, is open and they have really good vegetables and their baked good are fantastic. Yes, we go there often.
